You’re not dreaming, you’re experiencing the enchantment of Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival at Sand Harbor at Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park.
The 2017 Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival runs from July 8 through August 27. This 45th season of the Festival features two main plays in addition to all of the other shows and activities making up this exceptional event at Sand Harbor on the shores of Lake Tahoe.
Sand Harbor has been called “The Most Scenic Venue in the World,” with audience seating in a sandy bowl facing the performances and Lake Tahoe Basin as the backdrop for the stage.
Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival Main Season Shows
The playbill for the 2017 Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival includes two main shows…
- Love’s Labour’s Lost – Shakespeare’s labor of love and laughter.
- The Hound of the Baskervilles – A hilarious Sherlock Holmes whodunit.

Showcase Series at the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival
Every Monday night during the season will feature a variety of live entertainment. The Showcase Series performances will take place on the Warren Edward Trepp Stage at Sand Harbor. All performances start at 7:30 p.m.
Following the 2017 regular season, additional shows will play at the Sand Harbor venue on two Saturdays, September 2 at 7:30 p.m. and September 9 at 6:30 p.m.
