Two South Lake Tahoe families that are living with childhood cancer have received a lot of support. They are “paying it forward” by organizing an event at the Ice Arena on Friday evening. For this event, 100 people (so far) have volunteered to have their heads shaved, to support kids with cancer and in hope of inspiring donations for research. Donations go to St Baldrick’s, a volunteer-driven charity that funds childhood cancer research grants; you can read more about it on their web site, stbaldricks.org.

Here’s how it works: Doug Teakell gets his head shaved on Friday, March 7. Meanwhile, you can donate to St Baldrick’s to support him. We can all be heroes by supporting these kids with our donations!
